Copper is one of the best heat conductor material but it usually considered as sometimes unsafe when in contact with food. This is why de Buyer created a unique set of utensils, the Prima Matera range, made of 90% copper and 10% stainless steel. The outer sides made of copper allow a fantastic heat distribution while the inner side stainless steel allow for an easy care and healthy cooking. The Prima Matera range benefits from a special ferro-magnetic bottom for all hotplates including induction.

Clifton Food Range® is a British specialist of sous vide equipment - developed and manufactured by Nickel-Electro, a brand leader in temperature-control laboratory and science equipment.


Sous vide literally translates from French as ‘under vacuum.’ It was developed in France in the early 1970s when George Pralus and a food scientist joined forces to devise the perfect method for producing foie gras. After numerous experiments the best method proved to be sealing the food in a pouch under vacuum before cooking it very slowly at a controlled temperature.

Sous vide today uses a water bath to accurately cook the vacuum packed item at a precise temperature. This creates enhanced texture and taste and means that meats such as beef emerge tender enough to be cut with a fork. This process results in minimal shrinkage, with greater yield and wastage can be virtually eliminated through accurate portion control at regeneration stage. This is why so many acclaimed chefs worldwide, including many with coveted Michelin stars rely on Clifton Food Range® water baths.

Precise temperature control: most Clifton Food Range® products offer a high precision controller, displaying the stability/uniformity to +/-0.2°C. There is also an integrated timer (between 1 minute and 99 hours). A small digital screen displays the exact temperature, timer info and key messages (e.g. Low level water detection). These products are ideal for sous-vide and other low temperature cooking.

 High-quality build: the entire case of the water baths is made of high-quality stainless steel. Every product is manufactured on site, in the UK-based factory, guaranteeing quality and durability.  A two-year warranty is also offered.

Practicality: the Clifton Food Range® is purposely designed and built for professional kitchens. Each product is delivered pre-calibrated, ready to use straight out of the box. Controls are simple to use and side lifting handles on the sous vide baths make it easy to move around the kitchen and a drain tap allows quick emptying for cleaning.

The Clifton Food Range® 28-litre sous vide bath is ideal for sous vide and low temperature cooking. It includes a drain tap for quick and easy emptying for cleaning. Thanks to its high precision controller, users are guaranteed to have the exact temperature they need and are able to set a timer for best time management. A stainless steel lid with an insulated handle is also available. The bath is supplied with a removable stainless steel perforated shelf which provides effective distribution of heat uniformly throughout the chamber by convection.  Made of stainless steel, it is also available in various capacities: 4 litre, 8 litre, 14 litre or 56 litre.

Clifton Food Range immersion circulator









 The Clifton Food Range® Immersion Circulator is a space saving clip on heater/stirrer unit. It can be fitted in seconds onto a gastronorm tank of up to 56 litres. It is portable (carry case also available) and its compact design works in limited space kitchens. It creates a precise temperature controlled environment to 0.05°C. The notification ‘FILL’ will indicate low level water. The Immersion Circulator includes an integrated timer, audio/visual notifications and will retain current temperature settings in memory even after ‘power off.’

The Clifton Food Range® Bottle Warmer will keep sauces and liquids warm. It is available in three sizes: 8 bottles, 16 bottles or 24 bottles. It has multi purposes from warming up chocolate sauce in the kitchen to preparing fluid gels and purees. The temperature can be easily changed with the turn dial up to a maximum temperature of 60˚C.
